Ego TV and "Roommates" Creators Iron Sink Media Present Web Drama "Malibu U."
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2008 -- Ego TV (www.EgoTV.tv) and Iron Sink Media, the creators of "Rommates", have debuted "Malibu U.", a new Web drama that follows the lives or sorority members at the trendy Malibu University in California. Each episode from the initial six-episode run is approximately five minutes in length, and the producers have created a series of six cast member video blogs.
"Ego TV is ecstatic to launch 'Malibu U.' The Web is the perfect place to demonstrate this type of interactive storytelling. 'Malibu U.' is already popular with the Web audience and with advertisers," said Ego TV President and "Malibu U." Executive Producer Jimmy Hutcheson. To date, "Malibu U." has garnered the attention of 75,000 viewers daily.
Scott Zakarin of Iron Sink Media said, "Working with Ego TV (www.EgoTV.tv) on 'Malibu U.' was a really fun experience. We strived for a modern version of 80's kitsch movies, that today's Internet audience should eat up with a spoon. I wish my parents would have sent me to a school like 'Malibu U.'"
"Roommates" from Iron Sink Media was the successful branded entertainment Web drama on MyspaceTV. The series integrated Ford and Fresh View Contact Lenses. The current Ego TV advertisers include Subway, Pontiac, Showtime and MSN.
On working with Iron Sink Media, Hutcheson said, "Scott and the entire team at Iron Sink Media are incredibly creative, and they understand how to tell interactive stories on the web. They enjoy communicating directly with the audience much like Ego TV does, and they know that the audience comes first and the best stories rise to the top."
"Malibu U." can be found now at www.EgoTV.tv. Additionally, starting July 15, viewers can access "Malibu U." at Ego's mobile phone WAP/ iPhone site and Ego's syndication partner channels, including YouTube, MyspaceTV, iTunes, VidShadow, TitanTV, Joost, Veoh, and other Web sites.
Synopsis of "Malibu U.": "Where did you go to college? It probably wasn?t a place like 'Malibu U.'! The students at 'Malibu U.' have it all: the beach, babes, celebrity friends, beer, and parties. Oh yeah, and classes. Surrounded by beautiful people, the sorority sisters of Zeta Chi, 'Malibu U.'s' most elite sorority, find drama all around them ? boys, rival sororities, pledges, and college antics."
