Rush HD is Cablevision's HD Channel of The Day, as Part of The Company's Continuing '45 Days in HD, on iO TV (SM)' Countdown
Bethpage, NY (PRWEB) January 4, 2008 -- Cablevision Systems Corp. today is recognizing Rush HD as its HD Channel of the Day, as part of the ongoing "45 Days in HD, on iO TV" countdown. Available to Cablevision's iO TV customers on channel 734, Rush HD features the nation's first-ever high-definition channel dedicated to capturing life on the edge with the adrenaline junkies of adventure sports. Transporting viewers directly to the heart of these mind-bending sports - from B.A.S.E. jumping, kayaking and big-wave surfing to snowboarding, rock climbing, free-skiing and more - Rush HD covers the globe to deliver programming featuring one-of-a-kind expeditions into remote, uncharted territories, competitive events with top athletes and highly visual action sports showcases. Offering action-packed images shot by highly-skilled camera crews who follow the athletes - jumping out of helicopters, climbing up cliffs and skiing down mountains - Rush HD is redefining the action genre both technically and creatively, giving viewers the ultimate edge-of-the-seat experience!
During the countdown, Cablevision is recognizing each of the 45 high-definition services iO customers receive at no additional cost, including all nine local professional sports teams in HD. Unlike its satellite and phone company competitors, Cablevision does not impose additional fees and charges on customers who want to "see" in HD.
"We are pleased to recognize Rush HD as today's Channel of the Day in our ongoing '45 Days in HD, on iO TV' countdown," said John Trierweiler, Cablevision's senior vice president of product management. "Rush HD takes viewers to the extreme edge of adventure sports without ever leaving their living rooms thanks to its hair-raising high-definition programming and dynamic surround sound."
